Can I book a private party at Taj Indian Cuisine & Bar?
Yes. Call us at (608) 284-7958 with your date, time and guest count and we'll walk you through what the dining room and bar can hold and how we'd set it up.
Do you have a private room?
We seat groups in our dining room and can section off space depending on the day and the size of your party. For full privacy, ask about buying out the restaurant.
What kinds of events do you host?
Birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, baby and bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, graduation dinners, work parties, holiday parties and celebrations of life.
How does the food work for a private event?
Most groups do a buffet or family-style spread so everyone shares — usually a couple of curries, a tandoori platter, rice, dal, naan and dessert. Ordering from the regular menu also works for smaller parties.
Is the bar available for private events?
Yes. Our full bar serves cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic options, and we can keep it open for your party or set up drink tickets.
Can you accommodate vegetarian and vegan guests?
Easily. Vegetarian dishes are a large part of our menu and most can be prepared vegan — tell us your counts when you book.
How far ahead should I book?
The earlier the better for weekend evenings, holidays and graduation weekends. For a weekday dinner, a couple of weeks' notice is usually enough.
Where do my guests park?
We have a small customer lot at the building, plus street parking on the surrounding blocks. Check the parking and directions page and always read the posted signs.
